How To: Get the Perfect Manicure

Treating Your Nails Right!

Tips on shaping nails before you begin:

· Clean nails by removing any polish. Wash and dry hands completely before starting
· Using long combination nail file, shape nails to desired shape and length
· Use file, starting on the outside (at the corner of the nail) and working your way to the center
· Keep motion going in one direction, not back and forth

Now that your nails are shaped and filed neatly, you are ready for the next big step: using an A-Viva Nail Buffer to get your nails to shine!

Instructions for Buffing:
  1. Start with using with the buffer strip marked “Step 1” (Blue side). Buff each nail, moving in only one direction, for approximately 10 to 15 seconds.
      • By doing this, the nail surface smoothens. Repeat every 3 to 4 weeks, as needed.
  2. Move to buffer strip marked “Step 2” (Gray side). Buff each nail, this time moving a back-and-forth motion for approximately 10 to 15 seconds.
      • This step stimulates nail growth while removing scratches from the surface of the nails.
  3. Gently use the chamois side to brush dust off the nail’s surface.
  4. Use buffer strip, marked “Step 4”. Buff each nail for approximately 10 to 15 seconds or until each nail begins to have a glossy shine.
  5. Now that nails have been thoroughly buffed, apply cuticle oil along the edge of the nail and atop the cuticle. Massage in thoroughly.
      • Hint: as you apply oil, make sure to push cuticle back to allow the oil to absorb and breathe.
      • Daily oil application will help heal dry and cracking cuticles.
*Tip! Never buff nails after you have taken a shower. Nails soften while in the water and buffing could damage your nail if it is too soft*
